Finally Got Enlightment of Social Capital

Firstly, I want to share about fair trade, because it is very interesting. But after studying about social theory, my mind is changed.

In the first meeting, Mrs Suzana (My Lecture) have ever said that if we study about social theory, it means that we try to be a good survivor of this live. Because the keys of our topics today are reality and knowledge.

Understanding social reality means we have to undesrtand about Durkhiem, Marx, and Webber’s theory properly. Because Durkheim gave us the fact that there is a social fact outside from human handling. So it can be our field to understand the reality, where interpretating a reality was called by social definition as Webber theory. Because when we can really know about our sarrounding condition, inivietable empoworing is ours.

Starting with social constuctivis, what are you thinking about it?

As I know, it talk about our patern of mind that it underlies our behaviour. The Famous Called of it is ideology. In Oxford Dictionary is mentioned that ideology is a system of ideas and ideals, especially one which forms the basis of economic or political theory and policy. So What we believe, affecting our frame to see the reality or phenomenon.  So there isnt absolutly truth, therefore we have to focus to reached scientific methods, in oder getting objective. Because common sense always exists.

Although world war had finished, but maintaining a discourse never finish. So be habitual to see contextual is important.

Have you ever heared about social capital for social investment?

One of figures that talk about social capital is Piere Bordue. Started from his exploring out of france. He reliezed that education gives people a poin plus, Language and Logic. Education makes a culture which can enhace their power and confident (Bordue calls it with habitus). But in another hand, it also brings to inequality. Because education appears a social stratification.

From that, the reason of Harbermas occurence with his critical theory which underlies emancipatory action. All this time The truth is just seen right, if fulling the sandart of positivism with formal rationality ways. Even though, after we know that reality is realive because linking to context. We should consider to use subtantif rationality to see the local value of our subject. So empoworing which is dreamt emancipatory action can be reliazed.
